Friday Focus
Update on Friday Focus from World Prayer Centre
We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of those that have joined in praying for Hope08 since January 2007 using the Friday Focus prayer themes. Many thousands of people have used this resource to aid their praying for our villages, towns and cities and we have seen the fruit of our prayers in all that Hope08 achieved, and is achieving, as many of the locations continue to pray and work together.
We always intended to mobilise prayer before, during and after Hope08 and therefore continued Friday Focus into 2009. However, we now feel Friday Focus has achieved what it was set out to do and it finished on 31st July.
We will continue to mobilise prayer for every area of life of our nations and so we want to recommend 2 current prayer resources and inform you of a new national prayer diary (that we will be part of) that will be available autumn 2009:
Prayer Alert is our weekly email prayer guide set in place by the Prayer Forum of the British Isles and Ireland It provides guidelines for prayer relating to the British Isles & Ireland, Europe and the rest of the world. Read it online or subscribe on the website to receive emails. www.prayer-alert.net 
CARE prayer guide – is a four monthly printed prayer guide which provides daily topics to inform your prayer life. You can also download or listen to the latest editions on the website. www.care.org.uk
New National Prayer Diary - will be launched at our next national day of prayer – The Presence – at the NEC on Saturday 17th October.
