This year, World Prayer Centre wanted to show a practical demonstration of Jesus’ love this Christmas.  There is such a need in Birmingham with some many people living on the streets and many falling below the poverty line as effect of the pandemic.  Sunday, 50 food bags were distributed to vulnerable people in our city and the love of Jesus was shared with them, as Christmas carols rang out down New Street.

We have partnered with Victory Outreach Church Birmingham, Church to the Streets and Blessed 2 blessed community project to outreach for the three Sunday in the city centre in the lead up to Christmas.  Victory Outreach and Church to the Streets have been evangelising every Sunday since June when the first lockdown restriction was lifted.  They have been sharing the love and hope of Jesus in Birmingham as there is more of an urgency to share the good news than every before.

World Prayer Centre donated £900 to provide the food bags and hampers to people in need.  The food bags are supplied by Blessed 2 Blessed community project who regularly feed the hungry in Birmingham.  Food hampers will be supplied to families that are struggling over Christmas.

Pray for God to bless those that are in need and for the gospel to be planted and for many to want to know more about Jesus.
