Over fifty of us gathered from around the country at Betel Centre, Birmingham on Saturday 8th February to spend time in God’s presence, worshipping, praying for our nation and the world.

We began to dig deeper into what it means to behold His Glory (our theme for our conference next month), and there was a palpable sense of God’s overshadowing as we pressed in.

We were encouraged to give thanks for God’s protection and peace during and after 31st January, especially in trouble spots.  It was also brought to our attention that it is important now to keep asking for God’s Holy Overshadowing as we have come out from under a man-made structure, and to be aware of the enemy policy of moving into a vacuum.

We broke into groups to pray into seven spheres of influence in the nation: Family, Religion, Education, Economy, Politics, Media, Agriculture & Land.

In the afternoon, Ian reported back from their time in Bellingham, where representatives from across the world met together the previous week to pray and seek God’s face with regard to global mission over the next decade.  We then prayed around parts of the world, facing the huge map on the back wall of the Centre, which really helps to focus our prayers.  All in all, a great day and well worth the journey for those who had to travel!

Our next Prayershift gathering is Saturday 18th April 2020 at Betel Centre, Birmingham.
